Jonathan is an incredibly generous and insightful teacher, creating a space where it is safe for the participants to lower their defences and explore the infinite possibilities of a world without boundaries. This work is not for the faint hearted, but it is revelatory and invigorating for anyone who dares to wander down the path of the Fool. You do not have to be a performer to get a lot out of the workshops - Jonathan works with many types of people from all walks of life, from Mental Health Nurses, The Ministry of Defence, Choirs and annual workshops in Bosnia. His work helps people free up their minds, find inspiration and choose their lives. Create or be created!

“ Jonathan Kay is one of the most inspiring and free-thinking theatre practitioners I have ever met. He is a unique, genuine and natural communicator. A one off. As a teacher and a performer, he is funny, frustrating and challenging all at once. He cuts through pretension, contrivance, cliché' and ego. There was no hiding place. I learnt a lot from him. I would urge anyone to sign-up to his courses and to see his shows. He is a philosopher, a fool and a much needed voice of sanity.”

I’ve always recommended anyone to do this workshop…it will be an extraordinary journey.

Workshops come in several shapes and sizes; from half days to full weeks, and even longer on request. Half day workshops are suitable for a taster: giving you an idea of what you might get out of a longer session. Two day workshops are designed for those with an interest in performance, or for those whose lives involve a great deal of contact with other people, and who wish to improve their interpersonal skills. Week workshops are for semi professional/professional performers, or for those who have worked with Jonathan before.

All workshops are run on a donation basis. Donations should reflect your personal income, commitment and enthusiasm, and the quality of the work.

Booking is being taken for all workshops currently on this page. To book please download this form. For information contact Attic Theatre or 07707 058820, or email info[AT]jonathankay.co.uk (replacing [AT] with @)
