Why by Donation?

It turns the consumer into a creator!

We have been passively consuming for hundreds of years now. Since markets stopped bartering the social interaction between the consumer and the supplier has been reduced to;

“£9.99 please… here’s your change.”

“Thanks.”

The world is not a lonely place, it is full of human interactions and creativity, so we implement this into the way we work.

Money is a conversation. Every transaction you make is accompanied by: Do I trust the salesman? Is this worth it? Am I being frivolous? Can’t they move quicker? Maybe it’s worth buying ten whilst they’re cheap? Etcetera…

When paying for Jonathan Kay’s work, be it a show, workshop or even a year with the Academy, we are asking you to have a chat with yourself and discover, first of all how active it is in there, and then how much you are choosing to pay for the experience you have just received or are about to have. How much you pay is up to you, but your choice will affect the experience. You may walk away feeling invigorated by the choice you have just made, or you may feel you’ve just fiddled someone. We don’t know how much you pay, so your conversation is private. The choice is in your hands. Create or be created.

You can donate at any time in the left hand toolbar, so why not start creating now?

For some guidelines on average prices for such things, a show of this aptitude would be at least £15, a weekend workshop would be at least £200, 5-day workshops would be at least £450 and a year’s training would be at least £3,000 (with relative concessions)

Suggested donation for all of the above is £100,000,000,000,000
