Booking Jonathan for a Performance Guidelines
Jonathan Kay’s shows are normally one and a half hours long and require a concentrated space, so not a bar or other noisy environment. He tends to perform between 8pm till 10pm in the evenings or after 3pm during the day at festivals.
At festivals he preferably needs to be in a tent to begin with before he takes the audience out adventuring off into the festival. If a tent is not available then he definitely needs a radio mic.
For evening gigs Jonathan only requires simple lighting and to be near to the audience so that he can see and talk with them easily. Seats do not want to be behind tables in cabaret style or stacked built in seating, but be in rows close to the performance space and preferably in seats that are able to move.
Interested in working in a variety of spaces. He has performed in living rooms, squats, on a boat, in tents and in fields, as well as in small to large theatres.
The only space he’d rather not work in is a church as some of the content may not be appropriate, although he has worked in plenty of churches in his time.
We have a marketing department that will contact the Jonathan Kay mailing list and advertise over the internet. We would like the booker to provide us with space on their programme of events, design a flyer, forward on the flyer to us and to their mailing lists, put out posters and flyers in the space and pass on that Jonathan is in town by word of mouth.
The audience needs to be over 18 years old.
Booking Jonathan to run a Workshop Guidelines
For the workshops he requires a warm, comfortable and inspiring workshop space, preferably with lots of natural light, large enough for about 30 people to move around in easily. It needs to be close to local amenities or equipped with basic kitchen facilities for lunchtimes and for real results it is recommended the workshop runs for at least two days from 10am till 6pm.
